Delaware entity search and LLC lookup: how to find any Delaware company
The Delaware Division of Corporations runs a free search for one company at a time. Here is how to use it, what it will not tell you, and what to do when you need more than one company.
Search the state's records
- Open the General Information Name Search.
- Search by the entity name or the Delaware file number.
- Open the matching record for its details.
Card required. One free trial per card. Cancel before day 7 and you pay nothing. Then $100/month.
What to know about the state's search
- Searching is free and shows basic details such as the file number, formation date, and entity type.
- Each search returns at most 50 results, with no export.
- Good standing, franchise tax status, and filing history are not in the free result. They come from a paid status request or certificate.
- Results include companies that are no longer active, so a match alone does not confirm a company is in good standing.
- The Division prohibits automated searching and data mining, and can suspend access for excessive searches.
- Delaware does not publish directors or officers.
Delaware sells no download of its register and offers no API.
When you need more than one company
Recordwire records every new Delaware company: 21,503 in the last 30 days. Coverage starts in October 2026 and covers new formations, then their name and registered agent changes.
- Every new company, by email. The weekly digest sends last week's new Delaware companies each Monday with a CSV, $19 a month.
- In your software or AI agent. The API and MCP server return Delaware companies as JSON, $100 a month for one state. See a sample response.Compare Delaware APIs
