About
A change feed for new businesses
Recordwire reads official state business registries, finds every new company and every change to an existing one, and delivers them as an API, an MCP server for AI agents, webhooks, and a weekly email.
What it covers
twelve states: Florida, New York, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut, Oregon, Massachusetts, Idaho, Wyoming, Missouri, and Delaware. 26,717,480 companies today, each with its formation date, status, address, registered agent, and, where the state publishes them, officers. Coverage by statesays where each one comes from and how often it updates.
How it works
Recordwire uses the state's own publications: its bulk files and open data where they exist, its public search where they do not, and for Delaware, a licensed data partner. Each new copy is compared with the last, and every difference is stored as a dated, append-only change event. Customers read the same shape for every state.
What it will not do
- Mix in third-party guesses. Every field comes from the state's record.
- Show people's names on public pages. Officer names reach paying customers only.
- Hide the price. Plans are flat and published.
Who runs it
Recordwire is built and run by Brian Via in Northern Virginia. Questions, corrections, or a state you need:brian@recordwirehq.com.
